On March 16, 2024, I lost my best buddy in the whole world. He was a wild-haired, pigeon-toed, bright-eyed sixteen-year-old mutt with a heart of gold and I'll never have another friend like him.
Before he passed, I sat on the back porch with him and sang this song I wrote for him. He stood next to me while I sang and, when I got choked up, he had a funny reaction. See if you can hear him.
I kept all the mistakes and breaks in the recording because this was a special moment between me and him and I didn't want to mess with the authenticity of it.
I hope you have a Peabo in your life because I will miss mine forever. ❤️
